Jonas Kauffmann Under The Stars

CinemaLive, leading producers and distributors of Event Cinema, will bring Jonas Kaufmann’s spectacular Dolce Vita concert from Berlin’s Waldbühne to cinemas across the UK and Ireland for one night only, on Thursday 30 August.

Regarded as one of the world’s greatest tenors, Jonas Kaufmann has captivated audiences across the globe since his sensational 2006 debut in La Traviata at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

This summer’s spectacular outdoor concert, captured live at Berlin’s iconic Waldbühne amphitheatre in July, will see the star tenor performing famous arias and timeless Italian songs from his bestselling album ‘Dolce Vita’. It is a heartfelt tribute to Italian music and will include popular classics ‘Caruso’, ‘Torna a Surriento’, ‘Parla più piano’ (‘The Godfather’ theme) and ‘Volare’ as well as famous arias by Verdi, Puccini and more.

Jonas Kaufmann: Under the Stars marks the Munich born singer’s return to the big screen following the successful live broadcast of Otello from London’s Royal Opera House in 2017. Otello screened in cinemas worldwide and Kaufmann’s performance was well received by critics and audiences alike.

This new concert will be shown on over 300 screens in the UK and Ireland including major multiplexes, independent cinemas and arts centres. Audiences will be able to experience this magical night of music up close and personal from their local cinema.
