Tony Award winner Daniel Radcliffe will lead the Broadway premiere of Every Brilliant Thing, written by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe.
The acclaimed one-person play will run at The Hudson Theatre in New York from 21 February to 24 May 2026, with an official opening night set for 12 March.
Directed by Jeremy Herrin and Duncan Macmillan, Every Brilliant Thing transfers to Broadway following a successful 14-week season at @sohoplace in London’s West End, where it is currently running with Minnie Driver until 8 November.
This marks the first Broadway transfer for Second Half Productions, the entertainment company founded by Jeremy Herrin, Alan Stacey and Rob O’Rahilly.
Every Brilliant Thing is a heartwarming and exhilarating solo show in which a man reflects on the glimmers of hope that carried him through life, told through a list of everything wonderful and delightful that makes life worth living.
The play was first presented by Paines Plough at Roundabout at Somerhall in 2014 and has since been performed in over 80 countries. It was also adapted into an HBO Special starring co-creator Jonny Donahoe.
“Every Brilliant Thing tackles some serious subject matter, but the overall experience is one of joy and celebration,” said Duncan Macmillan. “Every performance is unique and unpredictable and it requires virtuosic skill from its central performer. He has the intelligence, quick-wit and charm to roll with the spontaneous moments that the show invites – he can be a clown one moment, then grab you by the heartstrings the next. The creative team includes Vicki Mortimer (Design), Jack Knowles (Lighting Design), Tom Gibbons (Sound Design), and Jessica Ronane CDG (Casting). General Management is by TT Partners, and the Production Stage Manager is Jhanaë K-C Bonnick.
