Plastered Productions has announced the full cast for Daniel’s Husband, the acclaimed Off-Broadway play by Michael McKeever, which will make its UK premiere at Marylebone Theatre this December.
The production will run for a limited season from 4 December 2025 to 10 January 2026, with a national press night on 9 December.
The cast includes three-time Olivier Award winner David Bedella (& Juliet, In the Heights, Jerry Springer: The Opera) as Barry, Luke Fetherston (Big Mood, Channel 4) as Mitchell, Raiko Gohara (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Netflix) as Trip, Joel Harper-Jackson (Cock, Ambassadors Theatre) as Daniel, and Liza Sadovy (Olivier Award winner for Cabaret, The KitKat Club) as Lydia.
Daniel’s Husband is an unflinching look at the nature of love and commitment. It asks audiences to consider where our strongest convictions live: in our hearts or in our minds.
Daniel and Mitchell live a meticulously curated life, filled with success, beauty, and love. But when an unexpected crisis strikes, their future is thrown into jeopardy, testing the strength of their bond.
Plastered Productions said:
“We know that Daniel’s Husband is the perfect play for our inaugural production in London. We hope that this production inspires vital reflections on the nature of marriage, companionship, and the morality of our choices in the face of uncertainty.”
The play premiered in 2015 at Island City Stage in Wilton Manors, winning three Carbonell Awards including Best New Work. It later transferred to New York’s Cherry Lane Theatre and the Westside Theatre Upstairs, earning an Off-Broadway Alliance Award nomination.
The UK production is directed by Alan Souza, with set and costume design by Justin Williams, lighting design by Jamie Platt, sound design by Sarah Weltman, casting by Arthur Carrington, and artwork by Steph Pyne Design.
