Henry Goodman will star in a new production of Arthur Miller’s The Price at Marylebone Theatre, opening in spring 2026.
Produced by Marylebone Theatre, Patrick Myles and David Luff, Alexander “Sandy” Marshall, in association with Anthology Theatre and Tulchin Bartner Productions, the play runs from Friday 17 April until Sunday 7 June 2026, with a national press night on Thursday 23 April.
Goodman, a double Olivier Award winner, will play Gregory Solomon in Miller’s searing family drama, which examines the cost of the choices we make and the emotional inheritance passed between generations.
Set in a cluttered New York attic, The Price follows two estranged brothers who reunite on the eve of selling their late father’s possessions. What begins as a practical transaction soon becomes a fierce reckoning as years of resentment, sacrifice and buried truths come to the surface.
By turns darkly funny and deeply human, the play is regarded as one of Miller’s most intimate and explosive works, offering a gripping portrait of family life shaped by memory, regret and compromise.
The production is directed by Olivier Award-nominated Jonathan Munby, whose recent credits include acclaimed productions of King Lear and The Merchant of Venice.
The creative team also includes designer Jon Bausor, lighting designer Anna Watson, sound designer Max Pappenheim, casting director Helena Palmer CDG and associate director Eleanor Taylor.
Henry Goodman said, “Arthur Miller has an extraordinary ability to illuminate the private lives of families with honesty and humanity. The Price is a play I’ve long admired, so to play the life-enhancing Gregory Solomon is a gift. I’m thrilled to be returning to his work with Jonathan Munby at the Marylebone Theatre.”
Further casting for The Price will be announced.
