Divina De Campo will star as The Amazing Karnak in the return of Ride the Cyclone at Southwark Playhouse Elephant from 19 June to 22 August 2026.
The smash-hit musical comes back to London after a record-breaking and sold-out UK premiere season in 2025, which saw it become the venue’s fastest-selling production.
Divina De Campo, best known as a finalist on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, will join the previously announced St Cassian’s Chamber Choir.
The cast includes Josh Butler, Grace Galloway, Robyn Gilbertson, Bartek Kraszewski, Jack Maverick and Kayna Montecillo, with Rebecca D’Lacey and Nathaniel Purnell as swings.
Written by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell, the musical follows six teenagers given a final chance at life after a tragic rollercoaster accident, each competing to prove why they deserve to return.
Darkly comic and unexpectedly moving, the 90-minute show blends humour with poignant storytelling in a high-energy theatrical experience.
Divina De Campo said: “I am so excited to be joining this amazing vibrant cast for what is a hilarious and tongue in cheek musical. The songs are catchy as they come and the story is both tragic and side splitting, for the characters maybe literally! I am overjoyed to finally be on the Southwark Playhouse stage after seeing shows there and presenting more than a few awards to them too over the years!”
The production is directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee, with musical direction and supervision by Ben McQuigg.
Design is by Ryan Dawson Laight, with lighting by Tim Deiling, video design by Nina Dunn for PixelLux, sound by Tom Marshall, and illusion design by Richard Pinner.
Following its initial success, the show has once again broken its own box office records, with additional tickets now released for the upcoming run.
