Francesca Moody Productions has announced further casting for Tim Crouch’s groundbreaking play An Oak Tree, with Dónal Finn, Suranne Jones and Tanya Reynolds joining the line-up of guest performers for its run at The Other Palace.
The production, which runs from 7 October to 15 November 2026, sees a different guest artist join Crouch at every performance without having read or rehearsed the play beforehand, creating a unique theatrical experience each night.
Dónal Finn, recently seen in Young Sherlock and The Other Bennet Sister, will appear on 1 November. Suranne Jones, known for Vigil and Doctor Foster, will perform in the final performance on 15 November, while Tanya Reynolds, whose credits include Ted Lasso and 1536, will take to the stage on 24 October.
They join a previously announced roster featuring Hammed Animashaun, Bessie Carter, Rosalie Craig, Sacha Dhawan, Sean Gilder, Brian Gleeson, George Fouracres, Sophie Melville, Tom Mothersdale, Clare Perkins, Juliet Stevenson, Rhashan Stone, Gemma Whelan, Olivia Williams and Ria Zmitrowicz.
Since its premiere in 2005, An Oak Tree has become one of the most celebrated and influential plays of the 21st century, performed in more than 19 countries and featuring over 350 guest performers. Each performance combines grief, suggestion and live spontaneity in a theatrical event that constantly reinvents itself.
The production forms part of Francesca Moody Productions’ season at The Other Palace, alongside the critically acclaimed Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going To Happen and the international comedy hit Garry Starr: Classic Penguins.
Francesca Moody Productions is behind some of the most successful stage-to-screen success stories of recent years, including Fleabag and Baby Reindeer, and continues to champion bold new theatrical work.
