The Donmar Warehouse has unveiled further programming for its 2026/27 season, including the world premiere of Stuart Slade’s The King’s Ransom and a major revival of Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land starring Simon Russell Beale and Rupert Everett.
Artistic Director Tim Sheader and Executive Director Henny Finch announced the new productions as the theatre continues its latest season with The Guilty.
Opening in December 2026, The King’s Ransom is a new dark comedy from Bruntwood Prize-winning playwright Stuart Slade. Directed by Matthew Dunster, the production is inspired by the extraordinary true story of a plot to steal Elvis Presley’s remains and demand a million-dollar ransom.
Set in Memphis in 1977, the play follows small-time crook Vince Black and a group of unlikely accomplices as they attempt what is described as the heist of the century.
In February 2027, the Donmar will stage Harold Pinter’s acclaimed No Man’s Land, directed by Patrick Marber. The production will star Simon Russell Beale as Hirst and Rupert Everett as Spooner, alongside Olivier Huband and Jay Simpson.
Pinter’s play follows an evening of drinking, memory and manipulation, as fact and fantasy become increasingly blurred between two men and their mysterious companions.
The Donmar has also confirmed the full cast for Danny Lee Wynter’s forthcoming world premiere Ilford Boy, directed by Tim Sheader. The cast includes Lindsey Coulson, Cary Crankson, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr, Aaron Gill, Charlotte Jaconelli, Sinead Matthews, Craig Stein, Leo Whitfield-Harris and Ria Zmitrowicz.
In a further announcement, playwrights Azuka Oforka and Rafaella Marcus have been named recipients of the 2026 Theatre Royal Haymarket Writers Award, presented in partnership with Access Entertainment.

We look forward to welcoming audiences this Autumn and Winter to experience these productions in our powerfully intimate space.”
Public booking for The King’s Ransom and No Man’s Land opens on 31 July 2026.
