Bad Boy makes its UK premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, a solo comedy with live music exploring ambition, identity and the cost of chasing success.
Written and performed by Daniel Adolfsson, the show follows struggling musician Jack as he prepares for a make-or-break audition. Moving between gigs, relationships and moments of self-doubt, he clings to the belief that success will fix everything, even as his life begins to unravel.
Through a mix of dark humour and original music spanning blues, folk and pop, the performance charts Jack’s attempts to hold onto a version of himself that no longer fits. As the pressure builds, the show examines the cycles of self-sabotage, denial and longing that come with pursuing creative dreams.
Directed by Lilac Yosiphon, Bad Boy combines storytelling with live performance to create a portrait of a character caught between who he is and who he wants to be.
Bad Boy runs at Underbelly Cowgate from 05 – 30 August at 13:00. Tickets are on sale hereÂ
