BASIC BALD B*TCH comes to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, a bold solo show blending comedy, drag and storytelling to explore identity, resilience and self-expression.

Written and performed by Emily Glaze, the show follows Amy, whose life takes a sudden turn after a traumatic encounter and the onset of alopecia. As her sense of identity is shaken, Amy navigates wigs, lip-sync performances and shifting perceptions of herself, gradually reclaiming control over her narrative.

Mixing humour with sharp personal insight, the production examines appearance, sexuality and the pressures of fitting in. Through performance and reinvention, Amy begins to redefine how she is seen by others and, more importantly, how she sees herself.

Directed by Sarah Stacey, the show was previously developed at Brixton House and has gained recognition as a standout new voice in comedy and theatre.

BASIC BALD BTCH* runs at Underbelly Cowgate from 05 – 30 August at 15:55. Tickets are on sale here
