Edinburgh Preview: The Black Blues Brothers at Assembly Rooms (Music Hall)

After dazzling over 50,000 Fringe spectators in previous years, The Black Blues Brothers return to Edinburgh with a brand-new circus spectacle, Let’s Twist Again!, making their debut at the iconic McEwan Hall. This high-energy production transforms a smoky train station into a stage for jaw-dropping acrobatics, human pyramids, somersaults, and rope routines, all set to a nostalgic soundtrack featuring Glenn Miller, Keith Emerson, Elvis Presley, and Aretha Franklin.

Having toured the world to over 650,000 spectators and performed at prestigious venues including the Royal Variety Show and The Moulin Rouge—not to mention a special performance for Pope Francis—this ensemble brings their signature blend of physical theatre, comedy, and acrobatic brilliance to the Fringe once more.

Trained at Sarakasi, a trust supporting young acrobats and dancers in Nairobi, the troupe collaborated with circus historian Alexander Sunny to create this exhilarating show, produced by Italian company Mosaico Errante. With choreography by Electra Preisner and Ahara Bischoff, and scenography by Siegfried Preisner, Loredana Nones, and Studiobazart, the production promises a visual and emotional feast for audiences of all ages.

Let’s Twist Again! is a celebration of passion, joy, and the boundless possibilities of performance, guaranteed to leave audiences thrilled and inspired.
