Internationally acclaimed clowning company Les Foutoukours bring their multi-award-winning production Glob to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for its Scottish premiere. This imaginative and wordless show blends circus, clowning and physical theatre to create a dreamlike world filled with wonder and discovery.

At its heart are two curious characters who meet in a strange, suspended universe. Together they explore a landscape of waiting and possibility, encountering moments of play, surprise and quiet magic. Through movement and visual storytelling, the show captures the beauty of the unexpected.

Featuring an impressive range of skills including hand-to-hand acrobatics, juggling, tap dance and live piano, Glob showcases the company’s inventive approach to performance. Inspired by the endless glow of a northern “midnight sun”, the production evokes a serene, almost hypnotic atmosphere.

Drawing from the traditions of silent film comedy, the piece uses physical humour and expressive movement to communicate across language barriers, making it accessible to audiences of all ages. Beneath its playful surface lies a gentle reflection on connection, curiosity and the value of slowing down.

With a global reputation for inventive and visually striking work, Les Foutoukours once again deliver a production that celebrates imagination, beauty and the joy of shared experience.
