Ockham’s Razor return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Collaborator, an intimate and deeply physical duet that places creative partnership centre stage. Following its acclaimed premiere at MimeLondon 2026, the production marks the company’s first Fringe appearance since 2019.
Created and performed by Artistic Directors Alex Harvey and Charlotte Mooney, Collaborator distils over two decades of shared artistic practice into a powerful exploration of trust, compromise and connection. Using a suspended metal frame and minimal staging, the duo craft a visually striking and emotionally resonant performance rooted in their lived experience.
The piece examines what it means to create alongside another person, whether in art, work or life. It reflects on the negotiation, resilience and vulnerability required to sustain collaboration, offering audiences a window into both the joys and tensions of partnership.
Balancing physical precision with heartfelt storytelling, Collaborator showcases Ockham’s Razor’s signature blend of aerial theatre and narrative depth, while stripping back their approach to focus on the essence of their relationship. The result is a compelling and relatable work that speaks to the shared human experience of working together.
“This new intimate duet is for anyone who has ever tried to make something with someone else,” say Harvey and Mooney. “For years we have been dropped and have picked each other up, and we’re looking forward to exploring this trust with Fringe audiences once again.”
Collaborator runs at Pleasance EICC (Pentland) from 6 – 22 August at 17:00. Tickets are on sale here
