Award-winning country rock musical OIL & WHISKEY makes its international debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, arriving at PBH’s Free Fringe @ The Street following a sold-out run at the New York City Fringe Festival.

Described as The Last Five Years meets Nashville honky-tonk, the show is a dramedy about two former lovers reconnecting over drinks and reliving the highs and lows of their relationship. Set across a series of encounters, the story unfolds in an intimate and emotionally resonant musical format.

Written by Kit Nolan and Dax Wiley, the production blends heartfelt storytelling with a toe-tapping country rock score. Audiences are immersed in a cabaret-style concert atmosphere inspired by the Grand Ole Opry, reflecting the show’s Nashville roots and contemporary musical influences.

Nolan, a Nashville-based musician and producer, has toured internationally as musical director for Lindsey Stirling and worked with artists including Robbie Williams and One Direction. Wiley brings her experience as an award-winning playwright and storyteller, with previous works staged across the United States.

Following its debut success and upcoming Off West End run in London, OIL & WHISKEY brings its distinctive blend of humour, heartbreak and live music to Edinburgh for a limited engagement.
