Bubbleologist Louis Pearl has been delighting family audiences at Edinburgh Fringe for over a decade with the spellbinding spectacle of his gravity-defying, awe-inspiring bubble tricks – and this year he’s back with a brand new, adults only show.
Most people think bubbles are for little kids. Not anymore! Bubble & Squeeze is the bubble show for grown-ups that the world has been waiting for.
A sell-out favourite of the Fringe Festival for the past 12 years, in 2018, as well as returning to Underbelly for the whole of the Festival with his legendary Amazing Bubble Man family show, Louis is debuting a late-night cabaret show called Bubble & Squeeze Cabaret, that will run for the last fortnight of the Fringe.
After all, you’re never too old for bubbles!
In Bubble & Squeeze, Louis will again be with his longtime collaborator, the musician and singer Jet Black Pearl, who has performed on more than a thousand stages all over the world creating grooves and mesmerizing layers of flute, plastic bottles, vocal percussion and harmonies, all while squeezing one hot accordion. They will be performing separately – and together – in this all new show.
Louis has spent the past 30 years exploring the art, magic, science and fun of bubbles. The toy maker-turned-showman brings to life the breathtaking dynamics of bubbles, combining comedy and artistry with audience participation and Jet Black’s music.
Marvel at these sizzling, sexy, beautiful, bubbly, mind-blowing bubble/fog/helium creations from the Fringe’s favourite soap-star, the truly amazing, Amazing Bubble Man
Bubble & Squeeze is a late-night hilarious, risqué cabaret of bubble magic, mad effervescent music, and multi-media display that takes bubble art to a higher level… and beyond.
Louis said: “It’s a dream come true to be bringing an adult version of my show to the Fringe this year. There’s no script, no constraints, and no two shows are the same as it’s an improvised show and the audience participation involved means it can go in any direction. ”
