The Tower Theatre will present Things I Know to be True from 21 to 31 January 2026, offering audiences an intimate and moving portrayal of modern family life.

Bob and Fran have raised four children in the family home, but when youngest daughter Rosie returns unexpectedly from a European trip, the family dynamic is thrown into turmoil.

Across the changing seasons of a year, the play explores how love can be tested and stretched to breaking point as traditional values clash with modern expectations, culminating in a shattering event that unites them.

Originally created by State Theatre Company South Australia and Frantic Assembly, Things I Know to be True has enjoyed acclaimed runs in Australia and the UK, including a revival at the Lyric Hammersmith in 2017.

The Guardian praised the play as “a snapshot of life” and The Telegraph called it “a thing of beauty.”
