Join America’s Got Talent semi-finalist and internationally acclaimed magician Dom Chambers, who makes his Edinburgh Festival debut at the Assembly George Square for the month of August with his outstanding magic show, Fake Wizard.

This award-winning comedy and magic adventure is not your average magic show, and will prove that Dom is anything but fake! The Aussie star of The Illusionists on Broadway and Penn & Teller: Fool Us was also the first Australian solo act to ever to make the semi-finals of AGT.

Fake Wizard takes magic to a ridiculous new territory. Ditching the top hat and bunny for Tinder and beer, anyone and anything may become part of the journey as Dom explores life and love through magic, and a plethora of genuinely baffling illusions.

His videos have been viewed over 100 million times on social media, including his signature routine and viral phenomenon ‘The Appearing Beers’ – an act that features in Fake Wizard.

Dom lives in the most locked down city in the world, Melbourne, spending 262 days in total at home during the pandemic. This is his third attempt to do Edinburgh, after AGT commitments interfered with his 2019 season, and similarly, the pandemic in 2020. In 2015 he visited Edinburgh as a spectator, which Dom found ‘the two most inspiring weeks’ of his life. This year he will celebrate his 30th birthday during the Fringe! A few years ago, he led a team to the worlds longest ever magic show: 85 hours.
