Nina Rose Carlin takes you on a journey to the underbelly of Hollywood and back, as she stumbles onto enlightenment on her relentless pursuit for stardom. A self-tape audition for an accidental porn movie (don’t you hate it when that happens?) takes us on a whirlwind journey with stops along the way at red carpet premieres, cult gatherings, and call-backs for Mid-Girl-With-Underbite #3.

Nina Rose Carlin says, “I am thrilled to be making my Edinburgh debut with Seeking Representation – a bold, irreverent, and rollicking comedy cabaret about an LA actress attempting to make it big. And yes, you could say it comes from personal experience! “

Seeking Representation is a delectably unhinged comedy cabaret about a Hollywood wannabe, with live music, absurd characters, and a bit of pixie dust (read: Ozempic). From five-star Hollywood Fringe Festival award-winner and certified Hollywood wannabe herself, Nina Rose Carlin! After all, she’s an LA actress. Of course she knows her rising moon sign. Of course she can arrange dry-cleaning for a studio executive’s offspring in her sleep. Of course she takes her coffee with a splash of oat milk, and a heaping spoonful of existential dread. Join in on the subversive fun with Seeking Representation!

A satirical romp on the surface, Seeking Representation is a subversive expose of the Hollywood experience at its core. With searing wit, deranged characters, and stunning vocal prowess – come for the laughs, stay for the heart.

The original score of Seeking Representation is created by Nina Rose Carlin and Josh Wiener, of LA-based band Honey & Wax. With a mix of blues rock meets musical theatre, you’ve never seen a comedy cabaret quite like this.
