On their birthday, probably sometime in a bygone era, twin sisters embark upon their party celebrations with a little too much enthusiasm, banishing them to perpetual party purgatory.

Part circus, part séance; the show has garnered superb attention for its ground-breaking and unusual theatrics as well as its macabre and sinister sense of humour. After huge success in Australia and securing the main Adelaide Fringe Award for Best Circus and Physical Theatre, Party Ghost makes its UK debut at the Edinburgh Fringe.

In this twisted, highly physical comic production, performers Olivia Porter and Jarred Dewey relish in tormenting each other with devilish aplomb. Inspired by cult cinema and slasher movies of the 80s, these Australian circus stars combine the thrills of Hitchcock with the beauty of Tim Burton. Spliced with the grittiness of Australia’s phenomenal circus scene, Party Ghost is a tongue-in-cheek, high camp celebration of the grotesque and gothic, taking audiences on a journey through post-death via theatre, jokes, drag and cucumber sandwiches.

The powerhouse creative team behind the show consists of performers Olivia Porter and Jarred Dewey; two of Australia’s most sought-after company acrobats and is directed by Nicci Wilks who has worked with Circus Oz, Melbourne Theatre Company, Jarred Dewey, a skilled contortionist, aerialist, and graduate of the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) has worked extensively with contemporary circus company CIRCA as a full-time ensemble acrobat and has devised, toured and performed in 13 different productions (including OPUS, Wunderkammer, PEEPSHOW) in over 30 countries worldwide including a London season of La Soirée in Leicester Square.

Olivia Porter is renowned for her frightful and inventive juggling style and quirky choreography. With a truly unforgettable stage presence, she has also performed in La Soirée and was previously a full-time acrobat at Circus Oz. Other credits include the cult smash hit Blunderland and the world-renowned variety show Palazzo in Hamburg and Stuttgart.
