Edinburgh Preview: The Gin Chronicles at Artspace @ St Marks

The Gin Chronicles (c) Rodney Smith

A brand new adventure in the 5-star reviewed vintage, radio-style comedy series The Gin Chronicles. Come and join The Misfits of London for their 4th year at the Festival, and enjoy ensemble comedy at its finest.

Set in New York, our detective duo of John Jobling & Doris Golightly are supposedly there on holiday, but what was to be a restorative stay changes when an inescapable gin-based mystery lures Jobling into Hell’s Kitchen. But where is Doris?

In today’s rather divided and aggressive times, we believe that people need escapism and a bit of silliness more than ever, and the joyful nature of what we do can take people away from the drudgery of the news, the bad language they hear on their commute, and the entrenched views of people on both sides of political arguments. We like community and warmth, the idea of slick, energised playfulness that makes people laugh rather than snarling satire that has them looking round to see if they should.

The Gin Chronicles is a 6-part vintage, radio-style comedy series performed by 4 actors and 1 foley artist (who does all of the live sound effects). Every ticket includes a complimentary gin & tonic for adults, or soft drink for kids/non-drinkers. Come into a world of playfulness and vintage shenanigans, and leave with a smile on your face.
