As Burlesque the Musical prepares to begin previews this week, a new set of rehearsal photographs has been released, offering a first look at the sizzling production ahead of its West End premiere.

Based on Steven Antin’s cult film starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, Burlesque the Musical opens at the Savoy Theatre on Thursday 10 July, with a Gala Night scheduled for Tuesday 22 July.

The cast is led by Broadway powerhouse Orfeh as Tess, alongside Todrick Hall as Sean, Jess Folley as Ali Rose, Asha Parker Wallace as Nikki, Paul Jacob French as Jackson, and George Maguire as Vince.

Joining them is a dynamic ensemble including Michael Afemare, Callum Bell, Courtenay Brady, Paje Campbell, Sophie Cracknell, Hope Dawe, Jake Dupree, Marlee Fergusson, Angus Good, Charlotte Jaconelli, Elly Jay, Idriss Kargbo, Billie Kay, Deja Linton, Hollie-Ann Lowe, Callum Macdonald, Alessia McDermott, Jess Qualter, Liam Roodhouse, Janine Somcio, India Thornton, and Daniel Wijingaarden.

Todrick Hall, who also plays Sean, serves as the show’s lead composer, director, and choreographer. Hall is one of the most prolific and high-profile storytellers in the world.

Jess Folley, who returns to the role of Ali Rose, has co-written new music for the production with Hall. Folley rose to fame after winning the first series of The Voice Kids UK and later X Factor – The Band.

George Maguire, an Olivier Award winner, reprises his role as Vince, while Asha Parker Wallace makes her professional and West End debut as Nikki. Paul Jacob French, known for An Officer and a Gentleman and Grease, plays Jackson.

Burlesque the Musical is a dazzling journey of self-discovery, featuring iconic songs by Christina Aguilera and Sia, alongside brand-new music by Todrick Hall and Jess Folley.
