Following sell out seasons in Australia and Singapore, the European premiere of Cirque Alice has been announced for the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall this Christmas.

Presented by Roast Productions and Senbla, the show will run from 12 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, with tickets going on sale on Thursday 16 April at 2pm.

Created by Simon Painter and Tim Lawson, the new production reimagines Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland through contemporary circus, bringing the classic fantasy world to life with international performers.

The two-hour show features aerialists and acrobats, contortionists, puppetry and guest musical acts, set to newly arranged remixes of classical favourites.

The production uses on-stage seating to place audiences at the heart of the action, with performers soaring above the Royal Festival Hall stage.

Creative Producer Simon Painter said he was excited to bring the production to London for its European premiere.

“The tales of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland provide the perfect backdrop to create a magical narrative about a cirque show,” Mr Painter said. “Filled with some of the most eccentric and larger-than-life characters and creations, the original stories have provided such amazing inspiration for this groundbreaking new production.”

Executive Producer Tim Lawson described the show as an unmissable experience for all ages.

“Cirque Alice is spectacular entertainment that dazzles audiences of all ages – whether you’re on a date night or you want to bring the whole family along – do not miss this performance of jaw dropping acts set around one of the world’s most magical stories,” Mr Lawson said.

The creative team is led by creative directors Ash Jacks McCready and Kirsty Painter, with choreography by Dane Bates, costumes by Angela Aaron, lighting by Hugo Mercier and musical arrangements by Martin Raabe-Olsen and Marius Christiansen.

Cirque Alice plays the Royal Festival Hall from 12 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, with a press night scheduled for 15 December.
