Eurovision fever is coming to Woolwich Works in May 2024! In the run-up to the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024 in Malmö, EuroSmash will see fan favourites and cult classics from across Europe take to the stage for a day dedicated to all things Eurovision. It’s a full-out, 12-pointer of a festival! Ahead of tickets going on sale on Monday 4th December, the first acts have been announced.

Katrina, UK Eurovision royalty, is originally from Topeka, Kansas. She won the contest in 1997 with Katrina and the Waves, singing Love Shine A Light. The group also had a global hit with Walking On Sunshine.

Konstrakta, real name Ana Đuric, represented Serbia at the 2022 contest in Turin and became an instant fan favourite. Her blend of pop and performance art was a fresh departure for the ESC. Her Eurovision entry, In Corpore Sano made the top 5, and had all of Europe wondering about the secret behind Meghan Markle’s healthy hair!

Belgium’s Gustaph brought a touch of vogue ballroom culture to the 2023 ESC in Liverpool with Because of You. The song celebrated onstage the LGBTQ+ community which has been the lifeblood of Eurovision for many years.

As well as a celebration of everything Eurovision, EuroSmash will be a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ fans to party and enjoy their favourite Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) acts live. The line-up includes acts from different years of the contest, from different countries, to give fans the truly diverse array of music that defines Eurovision. The festival programme will also feature events with a Eurovision theme; comedy, drag, gaming and quizzing.

The venue is the beautifully restored Woolwich Works, a former fireworks factory. The main stage is indoors and benefits from great sightlines and an industrial feel, while the yard outside is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a drink while listening to one of the many acts performing. The event takes place on one level and the venue is fully accessible.

Additional EuroSmash performers and full line-up to be announced soon. More information can be found here.
