Punchdrunk Enrichment has announced the world premiere of Fireside Tales, a brand-new interactive production for children aged 7–11 and their families, running from 6 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 at Punchdrunk Enrichment Stores in Wembley Park.

Written and directed by Steve McCourt, Fireside Tales invites audiences into a magical world where stories flicker like flames and imagination keeps them burning bright.

The production explores the ancient tradition of storytelling around the fire, a ritual that is slowly fading. Audiences are encouraged to help keep a new story alive—one that is faint as an ember and not yet ready to be told.

Developed in collaboration with schools, Fireside Tales encourages children to draw, write, and share their own stories, making it a deeply participatory experience.

“As someone who has dedicated their career to providing platforms for youth voice, Fireside Tales stands as an exciting opportunity for the children of Brent and beyond to share their stories with the world,” said writer and director Steve McCourt. “For millennia, we have gathered to share tales of resilience, hope and home — in an increasingly isolating world, it’s essential we hold on to that spark of imagination and the flame of community spirit.”

Punchdrunk Enrichment, known for immersive productions such as Enitan’s Game and The Lost Lending Library, continues its mission to create transformational theatrical experiences for education, community, and family audiences.

The show will be staged at the company’s unique immersive venue in Brent, with tickets starting at £15. Brent residents can access a 20% discount by signing up to the mailing list.

Fireside Tales has been created in collaboration with an access consultant to ensure it is welcoming for all children, including those with SEN or additional needs. Special performances include BSL, relaxed, and pay-what-you-can options.

An open casting call for London-based performers is also underway, reflecting Punchdrunk Enrichment’s commitment to connecting with new voices in theatre for young audiences.
