First 351 Shows Announced for Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026

The first wave of shows for the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe has been revealed, with 351 productions now confirmed across 70 venues.

Audiences can browse the full list on edfringe.com from midday today, marking the official start of this year’s Fringe season.

This first announcement covers every genre in the programme. Theatre, circus, cabaret, comedy, dance, physical theatre, children’s shows, music, musicals and spoken word are all represented, with productions arriving from 24 countries.

       

Further show announcements will follow on 1 April and 6 May, ahead of the official programme launch on 4 June.

Festival organisers have confirmed that more shows than ever will go on sale in February, encouraging audiences to begin planning and booking early.

Tony Lankester, Chief Executive of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, said: ’The first show reveal is such an exciting moment in the Fringe calendar, especially in the tail-end of a cold, dark Scottish winter – it’s such a joy to remember that we have this incredible festival to look forward to!

‘I feel tremendously energised by the variety of work that’s on offer at this early stage, and I’d like to encourage everyone who loves the Fringe to browse through today’s shows and book one thing, immediately, that excites you. I promise, it’ll give the next few months an added buzz of anticipation.’

A representative sample of shows has been released to offer a glimpse of what audiences can expect, including cabaret titles such as Sexy Circus Sideshow 3.0 and Hot Flush – A Bold, We’re Old(ish) Burlesque Show.

Comedy selections include Sounds Queer to Me, Golden Child, A Little Bit of History Re-Putin, Gold Fashioned Jokes and Yorkshire Dad, Immigrant Mum, alongside returning Fringe favourites including Rosie Jones, Sophie Duker, Daniel Sloss, Christopher Hall and Craig Hill.

       

Children’s shows feature 110% Ready, The SEND Bubble Show and A Pirate Adventure!, while dance, physical theatre and circus highlights include SAND, Common Ground, Box [M] and Black Blues Brothers: Let’s Twist Again!.

Music offerings range from Daniel Martinez – The Best of My Music and Jazz at Lunchtime to Stitch in Time: A Knitting Cabaret, Solea – An Afternoon of Guitar and Hot Dub Time Machine Presents House Party.

Musicals announced include Bipolarcoaster, GIRLZ, Charming! The Musical, Possessive! The Musical! and Burke’n’Hare: Let The Bodies Hit The Floor, while the Pleasance presents Bliss and Assembly brings a revival of Dear Evan Hansen.

Theatre highlights include Shotgunned, JOSIAH, The Yellow Wallpaper, Wiesenthal and the return of Trainspotting Live at the EICC, now marking its tenth Fringe season.
