First look images have been released for Here There Are Blueberries ahead of its opening at Stratford East.
Here There Are Blueberries runs at Stratford East until 28 February, with Press Night on 11 February.
Conceived and directed by Tony and Emmy Award nominee Moisés Kaufman, co-founder of Tectonic Theater Project, the play is co-written with Emmy nominee Amanda Gronich. The pair previously collaborated on The Laramie Project.
Following celebrated runs in the US, the play arrives in London after becoming a 2024 Pulitzer Prize finalist, winning the 2025 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play, and receiving two Helen Hayes Awards.
Inspired by real events, the play explores the discovery of a mysterious album of Nazi-era photographs that arrived at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2007. As curators uncover the truth behind the images, the album sparks headlines and prompts a far-reaching debate.
This is the first production in Lisa Spirling’s inaugural season as Artistic Director of Stratford East.
