First look images have been released for Two Halves of Guinness ahead of its upcoming UK tour.

The show and full cast were previously announced, and these newly released images offer an early glimpse of Zeb Soanes as Sir Alec Guinness in this theatrical celebration of one of Britain’s most remarkable actors.

The production explores Guinness’ extraordinary career, spanning Shakespeare, Ealing comedies and Hollywood classics. It also reflects on his concerns that he might be remembered only for Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars.

Acclaimed broadcaster and actor Zeb Soanes brings Guinness to life on stage. When he was seventeen, he wrote to his hero and received a hand written reply wishing him luck in his career.

Speaking about the role, Soanes said, “Alec Guinness had an enigmatic quality that drew you into his performances – to join him in whichever game he was playing. His ability to inhabit such a vast array of characters, exploring the many faces of himself, was hugely appealing to me when I was growing up and inspired me to pursue a career in acting. Now, 25 years since his death, it is a delight to celebrate his remarkable talent – and in many of the theatres he knew.”
