New production images have been released for Bill Kenwright’s award-winning production of Blood Brothers, which is currently touring the UK as part of its Autumn 2026 schedule.
Written by Willy Russell, Blood Brothers remains one of the UK’s most celebrated musicals, having surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End and earned acclaim around the world since its debut.
The current touring cast is led by Vivienne Carlyle as Mrs Johnstone, with Sean Jones as Mickey and Joe Sleight as Eddie. Kristofer Harding is currently appearing as the Narrator before handing over the role to Richard Munday later in the tour.
Also featured in the cast are Tricia Adele Turner as Mrs Lyons, Beth Danher as Linda, Jamil Abbasi, Sarah Moss, Amelia Poggenpoel, Jack Anthony Smart, Tim Churchill, Michael Gillette, Alex Harland and Graeme Kinniburgh.
The production is currently playing in Oxford before travelling to Chelmsford, Grimsby, Chester, Birmingham, Leicester, Crawley, Malvern and Northampton, where the 2026 run will conclude.
A further Spring 2027 tour will begin at the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend in January, visiting venues across the UK including Southampton, Sheffield, Cardiff, Norwich, Manchester, Leeds and Shrewsbury, with casting to be announced.
Directed by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright, the production features set and costume design by Andy Walmsley, lighting design by Nick Richings and sound design by Dan Samson.
Blood Brothers tells the story of twin brothers separated at birth and raised in very different circumstances. As their lives become increasingly intertwined, events lead towards one of musical theatre’s most powerful and devastating conclusions.
Since premiering in Liverpool in the early 1980s, the musical has enjoyed international success with productions across North America, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Japan, as well as multiple award wins and Tony Award nominations.
