New production images have been released of Paddy Bever starring as Henry Creel in Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre in London’s West End.
Bever takes on the pivotal role in the stage prequel to the hit Netflix series, with the production currently booking through to 27 December.
Set in 1959 Hawkins, Indiana, Stranger Things: The First Shadow follows the Creel family as they attempt a fresh start, with teenage Henry determined to leave his troubled past behind.
As Henry settles into school life and forms new friendships, a series of shocking crimes begins to grip the town.
He is soon forced to confront a terrifying possibility, questioning whether he is connected to the horrors unfolding around him.
The play explores the origins of the Stranger Things mythology, asking whether monsters are born or made.
With a cast of 32, the production promises a stand-alone theatrical experience combining suspense, spectacle and emotional storytelling.
Stranger Things: The First Shadow is written by Kate Trefry, directed by Stephen Daldry with co-direction by Justin Martin, and features design by Miriam Buether alongside a large creative team spanning lighting, sound, choreography and visual effects.
