With previews underway for the Menier Chocolate Factory’s hit production of The Producers, first look production images have been released, offering a glimpse into the riotous world of Mel Brooks’ musical comedy.

The full cast has now been confirmed for the revival, which opens at the Garrick Theatre on 15 September, following previews from 30 August.

Returning to their roles are Andy Nyman as Max Bialystock, Marc Antolin as Leo Bloom, Trevor Ashley as Roger DeBris, Raj Ghatak as Carmen Ghia, Harry Morrison as Franz Liebkind, and Joanna Woodward as Ulla.

Joining them are Alex Lodge (Storm Trooper), Kelsie-Rae Marshall (Hold-Me-Touch-Me), Megan Armstrong, Olly Christopher, Gabrielle Cocca (Dance Captain), Ryan Pidgen (Standby Max), Nolan Edwards, Michael Franks, Matt Gillett (Resident Director), Esme Kennedy, Sinead Kenny, Josh Kiernan (Assistant Dance Captain), Kate Parr, Emma Robotham-Hunt, Pierce Rogan, Hollie Jane Stephens, and Jermaine Woods.

Directed by Patrick Marber, with choreography by Lorin Latarro, The Producers features a book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, and music and lyrics by Mel Brooks.

The creative team also includes Scott Pask (Set Design), Paul Farnsworth (Costume Design), Tim Lutkin (Lighting Design), Paul Groothuis (Sound Design), and Betty Marini (Wigs, Hair & Makeup).

Musical supervision and dance arrangements are by Gareth Valentine, with musical direction from Matthew Samer. Orchestrations are by Larry Blank and Mark Cumberland.

The production marks the first major London revival of The Producers, which originally won a record twelve Tony Awards on Broadway. Based on the cult film, the musical is a bold and hilarious satire that proudly proclaims itself an “equal opportunity offender!”
