First look rehearsal images have been released for the UK premiere of Midnight at the Never Get, which opens at the Menier Chocolate Factory later this month.

The newly released images offer a look inside the rehearsal room as Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award-winner Ben Platt prepares for his London theatre debut alongside Gregor Milne and Barry James.

Written by Academy Award, Golden Globe and Grammy-winner Mark Sonnenblick, Midnight at the Never Get receives its UK premiere in a new production directed by Tony Award-winner David Cromer.

Set in 1965 New York City, the musical follows Trevor Copeland and Arthur Brightman, whose romance exists in secret at a time when their relationship is against the law. Through their nightclub act, “Midnight”, they perform love songs in defiance of a society determined to keep them hidden.

Ben Platt will star alongside Gregor Milne, whose credits include Fiddler on the Roof, Sunset Boulevard and Girl From the North Country, and Barry James, whose extensive stage career includes Les Misérables, Chicago and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
