Rehearsal images have been released for ROAM, the new musical set to premiere in a one-night-only concert at the Shaftesbury Theatre on Sunday 23 November 2025.

Directed by Rupert Hands with choreography by Olivier Award winner James Cousins, ROAM features a rock-pop-Romani fusion score by Alexander Sage Oyen and a book by Michael Dovid, based on his original concept.

The musical tells the story of a nomadic clan whose caravan breaks down in hostile territory on the way to a sacred festival. At its heart is Yoska, a father tormented by loss and regret, whose return sparks a storm of loyalty, rivalry, and long-buried grief.

The cast includes Tony and Olivier Award nominee Ramin Karimloo as Yoska, alongside Jordan Luke Gage, Frances Mayli McCann, Diego Rodriguez, Melanie La Barrie, Hope Lavelle, and Olivier Award winner David Thaxton. They are joined by Angela Caesar, Jonathan Charles, Fred Double, Emma Farnell-Watson, Alex Given, Ali Goldsmith, Indiana Hawkes, Michael Lin, Emma Lloyd, Shayna McPherson, and Adam Strong.

Rupert Hands said:
“We’re so excited to be premiering this brand-new musical in the West End with this extraordinary cast and team. ROAM is the journey of a lifetime, full of soaring songs by Alexander Sage Oyen performed by some of the most stratospheric voices from Broadway and the West End. It’s a story of love, family, and legacy in a totally original, funny, timely, and powerful script by Michael Dovid. We can’t wait to share it with London audiences.”

Michael Dovid added:
“ROAM is a universal story that reflects our past, present, and future through the lens of a dynamic family within a resilient marginalized community. To share a journey that explores what it takes to confront hate, kindle light, and pass the torch forward feels more urgent, resonant, and essential than ever.”
