First Look Rehearsal Images Released for The Addams Family UK Tour

Company in rehearsals for THE ADDAMS FAMILY credit Pamela Raith

Rehearsal images have been released for the upcoming UK tour of The Addams Family The Musical Comedy, which kicks off at Birmingham Hippodrome on 10 July 2025.

Produced by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment and John Stalker Productions, with co-producers ADAMA Entertainment and Guy James, the tour will visit major venues across the UK including Leicester Curve, The Lowry in Salford, Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre, and Blackpool Opera House.

Joining the previously announced cast are Jak Allen-Anderson (Pippin, Kinky Boots) as ensemble and cover Lurch, Abigail Brodie (Guys and Dolls, Hello Dolly!) as ensemble and cover Morticia, and JR Ballantyne (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) as ensemble and cover Gomez.

       

Also joining the company are Eamonn Cox (Guys & Dolls, The Wizard of Oz) as ensemble, cover Mal and Fester, Siobhan Diffin (Mean Girls, Spongebob) as cover Alice, Grandma / Swing, Maria Garrett (Mrs Doubtfire, Mary Poppins) as ensemble and cover Wednesday, Chloe Gentles (Avenue Q) as ensemble and cover Pugsley, and Sario Solomon (If/Then, Grease) as ensemble and cover Lucas.

They join Alexandra Burke (The X Factor, Sister Act, The Bodyguard) as Morticia Addams, Lesley Joseph (Birds of a Feather, Sister Act) as Grandma, Clive Rowe (The Prince of Egypt, A Christmas Carol) as Uncle Fester, and Ricardo Afonso (Jesus Christ Superstar, We Will Rock You) as Gomez Addams.

Birmingham Royal Ballet announces promotions for 2025/26 season

Lauren Jones (Scissorhandz) plays Wednesday Addams, with Nicholas McLean (Wicked) as Pugsley, Dickon Gough (City of Angels, original Addams Family UK cast) as Lurch, Dale Rapley (The Bridges of Madison County) as Mal, Jacob Fowler (Title of Show, Heathers) as Lucas, and Kara Lane (Rebecca) as Alice.

The Addams Family features a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice (Jersey Boys), with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, based on the characters created by Charles Addams.

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, is all grown up and has a shocking secret that only Gomez knows. She’s fallen in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family. With his cherished Morticia in the dark, will Gomez manage to keep his daughter’s secret until the two families meet for a fateful dinner with hilarious consequences?

Join them, plus Uncle Fester, Lurch, Pugsley, Grandma and more for a heart-warming story of love, family and friendship… with a twist!

       

The Addams Family is directed by Matthew White, with choreography by Alistair David, production design by Diego Pitarch, orchestrations by Richard Beadle, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Richard Brooker and casting by Jane Deitch.
