First look rehearsal images have been released for The Astonishing Times Of Timothy Cratchit, which tells the tale of a young man who sets out to find his place in an expanding and volatile world. The show is a sequel to the most loved and celebrated Christmas story, A Christmas Carol, and follows the plight of young Tim who lives with his benefactor, Ebenezer Scrooge.

The new musical, written by Andre Catrini, stars Hollyoaks regular Helen Pearson and has direction by Jonathan O’Boyle (The View UpStairs, Cruel Intentions, Hair, This House, Pippin, Rain Man), choreography by Sam Spencer-Lane and musical direction by Chris Poon.

The Astonishing Times Of Timothy Cratchit opens at Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester on 22 November running until 29 December.
