Exeter Northcott Theatre has announced its first Made by Exeter Northcott production of 2026: Forever Young by Erik Gedeon.

This hit musical play transforms the Northcott stage into a retirement home for actors who refuse to go quietly. Expect big laughs, heartfelt moments, and iconic songs in a night of unforgettable entertainment.

Beloved performers from past Northcott productions will return to the stage, joined by new faces, to play exaggerated versions of themselves. They’ll belt out rock and pop anthems, reminisce about their stage careers, and stir up plenty of mischief.

“Forever Young is a very special show that I’m thrilled to bring to Exeter,” says Martin Berry, Exeter Northcott Creative Director and Joint Chief Executive. “I can’t wait to get our audiences’ favourite Northcott actors back on stage, plus some new faces – all in one gloriously silly play. Forever Young lets them run riot as larger-than-life versions of themselves, all while belting out well-known, much-loved songs everyone will recognise.”

The soundtrack will feature classics including I Will Survive, Barbie Girl, I Love Rock ’n’ Roll, Imagine, Respect, and many more.

“It’s going to be packed with laugh-out-loud moments,” adds Berry, “and there’s a real heart beating underneath the mischief. Yes, we all have to grow old – but who says we have to grow up?”

Forever Young runs at Exeter Northcott Theatre from 7 – 15 March 2026. Devon and Cornwall residents can enjoy 20% off up to two tickets for the opening matinee on Saturday 7 March. Members of Exeter Northcott can access pre-sale tickets now, with 20% off up to four tickets for any performance. General sale opens at 10am on Friday 29 August 2025.
