Producers ROYO, Future Artists Entertainment, Curve and the Lowry have announced the full cast and creative team for Bank of Dave the Musical, which premieres in May 2026.

Sam Lupton, known for roles in Only Fools and Horses and Wicked, will lead the new British musical as Dave Fishwick.

He joins Samuel Holmes as Sir Charles Denbigh, with previously announced cast members Hayley Tamaddon as Nicky, Lucca Chadwick‑Patel as Hugh, Claire Moore as Maureen and Lauryn Redding as Alex.

Additional casting includes Zachary Willis, Mark Peachey, Joni Ayton‑Kent, Adam Colbeck‑Dunn, Hannah Nuttall, Rosie Strobel, Minal Patel, Elliot Broadfoot, Althea Burey and Jhanaica Van Mook.

The creative team features book and lyrics by Rob Madge and music and lyrics by Pippa Cleary.

Direction is by Nikolai Foster with choreography by Ebony Molina, set and costume design by Amy Jane Cook, musical supervision by Toby Higgins and orchestrations by Tom Curran.

The musical is based on the Sunday Times bestseller, BAFTA‑winning documentary and hit Netflix film charting Fishwick’s real‑life attempt to start a community bank in Burnley.

Promising northern grit, humour and what Fishwick calls “the best songs in any musical ever,” the show follows Dave and lawyer Hugh as they take on the banking establishment.

Described by Fishwick as having “the humour of The Full Monty with the spirit of Billy Elliot,” the musical brings the underdog story to the stage with new music and a feel‑good outlook.

Bank of Dave the Musical runs at the Lowry in Salford from 2 to 16 May 2026 before moving to Curve, Leicester from 20 to 30 May 2026.
