Hampstead Theatre has announced the full cast for its new production of Kimberly Akimbo, running from 28 August to 7 November 2026.

Directed by Michael Longhurst, the Tony Award-winning musical by David Lindsay-Abaire and Jeanine Tesori will star Maria Friedman as Kimberly Levaco.

Joining her are Alice Fearn as Debra, Peter Hannah as Buddy Levaco, Gilli Jones as Seth Weetis and Niamh Perry as Pattie Levaco.

Also in the cast are Sara Hajizadeh as Teresa Benton and Ronav Jain as Aaron Puckett, both making their professional stage debuts, alongside Robin Simões da Silva and Aviva Tulley.

The musical follows 16-year-old Kimberly, who lives with a rare genetic condition that causes her to age four times faster than normal, as she navigates family life, first love and the pressures of adolescence.

Combining humour with heart, the show won five Tony Awards in 2023 including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book.

Director Michael Longhurst said: “I am thrilled to have cast such amazing talent to join the legend that is Maria Freidman to play her dysfunctional family and lovestruck classmates in Kimberly Akimbo. I can’t wait to get under the skin of David’s hilarious script and Jeanine’s incredible music with them all.”

The creative team includes designer Soutra Gilmour, musical supervisor Nigel Lilley, choreographer Matt Cole, lighting designer Jack Knowles and sound designer Matt Peploe.
