The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced full casting for its 2026 tour of Hamlet, which will visit Truro, Bradford, Norwich, Nottingham, Blackpool, Newcastle upon Tyne, York and Canterbury between 24 February and 25 April.
Ralph Davis reprises the title role, joined by Raymond Coulthard as Claudius, Poppy Miller as Gertrude and Georgia-Mae Myers as Ophelia. The cast also includes Richard Cant (Polonius), Colin Ryan (Horatio), Benjamin Westerby (Laertes), Ian Hughes (Ghost/Player King), Jamie Sayers (Rosencrantz), Julia Kass (Guildenstern), and CJ Johnson (Player Queen), alongside a talented ensemble.
Originally directed by Rupert Goold and revived for the tour by Sophie Drake, this bold interpretation sets Shakespeare’s tragedy aboard a doomed ship, inspired by the most famous sinking in history. Goold describes the production as “as much catastrophic thriller as poetic meditation,” exploring mortality, justice and the human condition in real time.
The creative team includes Es Devlin (Set Designer), Evie Gurney (Costume Designer), Jack Knowles (Lighting Designer), Adam Cork (Composer and Sound Designer), and Hannes Langolf (Movement Director).
National press night will take place on Tuesday 10 March at Norwich Theatre Royal.
