The full cast has been announced for The Old Vic’s celebrated production of A Christmas Carol, which will play at Lowry in Salford from 11 December 2026 to 10 January 2027.
The Tony Award-winning production, conceived and directed by Matthew Warchus and adapted by Jack Thorne, will be staged outside London for the first time in its ten-year history.
Joining the previously announced John Thomson as Ebenezer Scrooge are Laura Baldwin, Hayley Canham, Marilyn Cutts, Hadrian Delacey, Jamie Doncaster, Peter Dukes, Christian Edwards, Kamilla Fernandes, Seb Harwood, Emma Lucia, Rachel Moran, Annell Odartey, Ben Redfern, Joe Usher and Connor Wood.
The role of Tiny Tim will be shared by Ronan Caldwell, Chloe Gay, Franklin Gimson and Kharia Thompson.
Matthew Warchus said: “For ten years now this production of A Christmas Carol has been delighting audiences from London and beyond and I am immensely proud of the impact it continues to have on audiences – whether it be their first time seeing the show or one visit of many. To now be able to share the joy of this production with the Lowry and its audiences makes this year a truly special one.”
Featuring music, festive cheer and a unique immersive atmosphere, the production reimagines Charles Dickens’ classic tale of redemption, following Scrooge’s transformative encounters with the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future.
Since its world premiere in 2017, A Christmas Carol has been seen by almost one million people across London, the United States, Australia and worldwide through OLD VIC: IN CAMERA.
The creative team includes set and costume designer Rob Howell, composer and arranger Christopher Nightingale, lighting designer Hugh Vanstone, sound designer Simon Baker, movement director Lizzi Gee and casting by Grindrod Burton Casting.
The production will also return to The Old Vic in London for its tenth consecutive festive season, while Lowry audiences will have the opportunity to experience the acclaimed show in Salford for the very first time.
