Full Cast Announced for To Sir, With Love in Concert at the Gillian Lynne Theatre

Producers Kris Lythgoe and Darren Bell have announced the full cast for To Sir, With Love – A New Musical, which will play two concert performances at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on Monday 24 November 2025.

Joining previously announced stars Lulu and Wayne Brady are Jess Folley, George Maguire, Chelsea Halfpenny, Kara Lane, Michael Vinsen and Elijah Millar.

The young adult cast, provided by Italia Conti, includes Jamie Molloy, Ben Salter, Vivien Farkas-Haholt, Sophia Oram, Thomas Stocks, Toby Foetu-Foster, Matthew Navas, Isobelle Tolson, Katie Mitton and Rosie Hernandez-Lawrence.

       

Jess Folley, who plays Pamela Dare, said:

“I discovered my passion for music at a young age and have been songwriting and performing ever since. I’m thrilled to be part of To Sir, With Love and to bring Pamela Dare to life.”

George Maguire, cast as Mr Weston, is an Olivier Award winner known for his role in Sunny Afternoon. His extensive credits include Burlesque the Musical, Death Note in Concert, Bonnie & Clyde, and Rent.

Chelsea Halfpenny, playing Gillian Blanchard, is best known for her television roles in Emmerdale and Casualty, and recently starred in Maiden Voyage at Southwark Playhouse.

Kara Lane takes on the role of Mrs Dare, with credits including Come Fall In Love – The DDLJ Musical, Rebecca, and The Addams Family Musical.

Michael Vinsen, appearing as Mr Bell, is currently Resident Director on Fawlty Towers and has performed in Kinky Boots, The Book of Mormon, and Hairspray.

Elijah Millar, playing Sears, makes his professional debut after graduating from Guildford School of Acting.

       

Directed by Sheldon Epps, To Sir, With Love features a book by Kris Lythgoe and music and lyrics by John Farrar and Kara DioGuardi. The concert will also include the iconic title song by Mark London and Don Black.

The story, based on E.R. Braithwaite’s memoir, follows Rick Braithwaite, a Cambridge-educated engineer and former RAF pilot, who confronts societal prejudice while inspiring his students through empathy and respect.

The creative team includes Eve Nelson (musical arrangements), Joseph Joubert (musical supervision and orchestration), Sean Green (musical direction), Shereen Jasmin Phillips (dramaturgy), Edgar Godineaux (choreography), Paul Smith (sound design), Jack Weir (lighting design), Phil McCandlish (production management), and Debbie O’Brien (casting).
