Theatre Royal Bath has unveiled further casting for its highly anticipated Ralph Fiennes/Theatre Royal Bath season, set to commence in June 2025.

Grace Pervades

The season kicks off with the world premiere of Grace Pervades, a new play by David Hare, running from June 27 to July 19, 2025, with the press night on July 3, 2025. Ralph Fiennes stars opposite Miranda Raison (Spooks, Anne Boleyn, The Winter’s Tale). Directed by Jeremy Herrin and co-produced with Second Half Productions, the play explores the lives of Victorian stage legends Henry Irving and Ellen Terry, and their children Edith Craig and Edward Gordon Craig.

       

The cast includes Sharif Afifi, Tom Kanji, Harriet Leitch, Ashley McGuire, Jordan Metcalfe, Jo Mousley, Damian Myerscough, Guy Paul, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Saskia Strallen, and Kathryn Wilder.

The creative team features Director Jeremy Herrin, Set Designer Bob Crowley, Costume Designer Fotini Dimou, Lighting Designer Peter Mumford, Sound Designer Elizabeth Purnell, Composer Paul Englishby, Casting Director Jessica Ronane CDG, Associate Director Joe Lichtenstein, and Movement Director Lucy Cullingford.

Full Cast Announced For World Première Of Daisy Goodwin’s By Royal Appointment

As You Like It

Following Grace Pervades, the season continues with William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, running from August 15 to September 6, 2025, with the press night on August 21, 2025. Directed by Ralph Fiennes, the production stars Dame Harriet Walter as Jaques and Gloria Obianyo as Rosalind.

Harriet Walter, known for her roles in Succession, Killing Eve, and Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, brings her extensive Shakespearean experience to the stage. Gloria Obianyo, celebrated for her performances in Paradise, Girl From the North Country, and King Lear, recently appeared in Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning and Dune.

The creative team includes Set Designer Bob Crowley, Costume Designer Fotini Dimou, Lighting Designer Peter Mumford, Video Designer Roland Horvath, Sound Designer Christopher Shutt, Composer Ilan Eshkeri, Movement by Fin Walker, Casting Director Ginny Schiller CDG, and Assistant Director George Jibson.

       

Small Hotel

The season concludes with Small Hotel, a new drama by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, running from October 3 to October 18, 2025, with the press night on October 9, 2025. Directed by Holly Race Roughan, the production stars Ralph Fiennes as Larry, an acclaimed TV presenter facing a personal and professional crisis.

Rebecca Lenkiewicz, known for her award-winning plays and screenplays, including Her Naked Skin, The Night Season, and Ida, brings her latest work to the stage.

The creative team includes Set Designer Bob Crowley, Sound Designer Max Pappenheim, Video Designer Luke Halls, Costume Designer Loren Elstein, Movement Director Sarah Fahie, Casting Director Amy Ball CDG, and Associate Director Emily Ling Williams.
