Francesca Moody Productions has announced further casting for Tim Crouch’s acclaimed play An Oak Tree, which runs at The Other Palace from 7 October to 15 November 2026.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential plays of the 21st century, An Oak Tree continues its unique format of pairing Crouch with a different guest artist for every performance. Each performer joins the production without having read or rehearsed the play beforehand, creating a one-off live experience every night.
Newly announced guest artists include Sean Gilder, who will appear on 27 October, Brian Gleeson on 30 October, Sophie Melville on 25 October, Juliet Stevenson on 18 October, Rhashan Stone on 11 October, Olivia Williams on 10 October and Ria Zmitrowicz on 8 November.
They join a previously announced line-up featuring Hammed Animashaun, Bessie Carter, Rosalie Craig, Sacha Dhawan, George Fouracres, Clare Perkins, Tom Mothersdale and Gemma Whelan.
Since premiering in 2005, An Oak Tree has been performed hundreds of times across more than 19 countries, with over 350 performers taking part in its ever-evolving theatrical challenge.
Previous guest artists have included Frances McDormand, Geoffrey Rush, Peter Dinklage, Mike Myers, David Tennant, Jessie Buckley, Russell Tovey, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, Sophie Okonedo, Sharon D Clarke, Toby Jones, Christopher Eccleston, Meera Syal, Adjoa Andoh, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Michelle Terry.
The production forms part of Francesca Moody Productions’ new season at The Other Palace, which celebrates acclaimed work that began life at the Edinburgh Fringe before achieving wider success.
Alongside An Oak Tree, the season will include the award-winning dark comedy Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going To Happen and the international hit Garry Starr: Classic Penguins.
Producer Francesca Moody has built a reputation for championing bold new theatre, having helped launch Fleabag and Baby Reindeer before their transition to globally successful television adaptations.
An Oak Tree is directed by Tim Crouch, Karl James and Andy Smith, with music by Pete Gill and piano accompaniment by Simon Crane.
