The Gate will be bidding a final farewell to its Notting Hill space with Route 27 – Voices, an unprecedented interactive exhibition celebrating the brilliance, originality and spirit of the theatre’s history in its first home on Pembridge Road Notting Hill.
The Gate original home in Notting Hill will be transformed for the last time into a very special interactive exhibition space curated by designer Hazel Low.
Featuring a recording booth and listening post, the Gate invites thousands of audience members and artists who have supported and contributed to the Gate’s extraordinary history to look back, share memories and hopes for the future in this farewell to the theatre’s first home in Notting Hill as it embarks on an exciting new journey in the heart of Somers Town, Camden. New recorded messages from attendees will be added to the exhibition daily.

Parts of the audio exhibition will be available to stream from the Gate’s website during the event, along with text transcripts of the responses. Links to access this content will be available on the event page. If a personal visit is impossible, memories can be shared through a variety of means.
Route 27 is the direct bus route which journeys from Notting Hill to the Gate’s new home at Theatro Technis @ 26 Crowndale, Camden.
