The third annual Gather Together Storytelling Festival will take place at The Rosemary Branch Theatre from 14 January to 12 February 2026, bringing an eclectic mix of Greek myth, local stories, live music, true life, comedy, and even stories without words.
Opening the festival is Delusions and Grandeur by Karen Hall, fresh from its award-winning run at Edinburgh Fringe 2025. This intimate piece explores life as a woman working in classical music, performed with just a cello and Suite Number One in G Major by Bach.
Audiences can also experience Silent Rocco: UNTOLD STORIES, a modern mime show from Austria that creates a poetic and playful world entirely from imagination. This five-star Edinburgh Fringe hit is a joyful masterclass in storytelling without words.
Returning by popular demand is The Marvellous Adventures of Mary Seacole, a one-woman show first written and performed by former Artistic Director Cleo Sylvestre. Performed by Daniella Pollendine and directed by Sophia Woolfenden and Maria Sousa, it celebrates Black history through memory and identity.
HELIOS brings a modern-day twist to the Ancient Greek myth of the son of the God of the sun, performed in the round by Naail Ishaq and created by acclaimed British storytelling company Wright&Grainger.
The festival also features The Rosemary Branch: Local Stories, inviting members of the community to share their own tales, hosted by multi-award-winning storyteller Casey Jay Andrews. Plus, monthly comedy storytelling show Tall Tales & Cocktails returns to add humour to the mix.
It’s the perfect time of year to curl up with a good story and discover new perspectives at The Rosie.
