The Mill at Sonning has announced full casting for its upcoming production of Cole Porter’s beloved musical comedy Anything Goes, with Gemma Sutton set to star as Reno Sweeney alongside Josh St Clair as Billy Crocker.

Directed by Joseph Pitcher and choreographed by Gary Lloyd, the production runs from 19 November 2026 to 17 January 2027.

Set aboard the luxury liner S.S. American, Anything Goes follows nightclub singer Reno Sweeney, stowaway Billy Crocker and a colourful collection of passengers as they navigate mistaken identities, romantic entanglements and comic chaos on the high seas.

Packed with some of Cole Porter’s best-known songs, the musical features classics including “I Get a Kick Out of You”, “You’re the Top” and the iconic title number “Anything Goes”.

Gemma Sutton’s recent stage credits include Follies at the National Theatre, Girl from the North Country in the West End and Toronto, and The Rink at Southwark Playhouse, for which she won an Offie Award.

He is joined by an acclaimed creative team including set designer Diego Pitarch, costume designer Natalie Titchener, musical supervisor Charlie Ingles, musical director Jemma Starling, lighting designer Chris Mould and sound designer Chris Whybrow.
