The West End premiere of the multi award-winning Broadway play Good Night, Oscar, starring Emmy and Tony Award-winner Sean Hayes, has announced a prestigious partnership with Steinway & Sons UK.

This strictly limited season at the Barbican will run from 31 July to 21 September 2025, and marks a reunion between the production and the legendary piano makers following their acclaimed Broadway collaboration.

Sean Hayes, who portrays the brilliant and troubled Oscar Levant, will once again perform George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue live on stage, using a Steinway Model D Grand Piano.

“I’m thrilled to be able to work with Steinway & Sons once again during the London run of Good Night, Oscar,” said Hayes. “I find great comfort in knowing it’s a Steinway out there, waiting to be played. And every night, it never disappoints.”

The Steinway Model D, measuring 8′ 11¾” (274 cm), is widely regarded as the pinnacle of concert grand pianos and is the preferred choice of world-renowned pianists including Lang Lang, Ludovico Einaudi and Max Richter.
