Hampstead Theatre has announced that its acclaimed production of Kimberly Akimbo will extend its run by an additional week, with performances now continuing until Saturday 14 November 2026.
The European premiere of David Lindsay-Abaire and Jeanine Tesori’s Tony Award-winning musical has received widespread praise from audiences and critics since opening at the London venue.
Directed by Michael Longhurst, Kimberly Akimbo stars four-time Olivier Award winner Maria Friedman as Kimberly Levaco, a teenager living with a rare genetic condition that causes her to age four times faster than her peers.
The musical won five Tony Awards in 2023, including Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical.
Alongside Friedman, the cast includes Alice Fearn, Peter Hannah, Gilli Jones and Niamh Perry, with Sara Hajizadeh, Ronav Jain, Robin Simões da Silva and Aviva Tulley also appearing in the production. Rachel Flynn and Daniel Walford complete the company as swings.
The creative team includes director Michael Longhurst, designer Soutra Gilmour, musical supervisor and musical director Nigel Lilley, choreographer Matt Cole, lighting designer Jack Knowles, sound designer Paul Groothuis, video designer Luke Halls and casting director Anna Cooper CDG.
Additional tickets for the extended performances go on sale at 12 noon on Tuesday 13 October.
