Original Mischief company members Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer are set to rejoin the West End cast of Christmas Carol Goes Wrong for a special two-week engagement at Wyndham’s Theatre.
Fresh from performances in Los Angeles, the pair will reprise the roles they originated in the production’s premiere run last year. Lewis will return as Robert and Sayer as Dennis from 14 to 23 January 2027.
An additional matinee performance has also been added on Wednesday 20 January 2027 due to demand.
Christmas Carol Goes Wrong runs at Wyndham’s Theatre from 18 December 2026 to 23 January 2027, bringing back the accident-prone Cornley Amateur Drama Society as they attempt to stage Charles Dickens’ beloved festive classic.
The comedy follows the theatre troupe as they contend with missing actors, delayed scenery, backstage rivalries and a growing dispute over who should play Ebenezer Scrooge, in what promises to be another trademark dose of Mischief mayhem.
The full West End cast includes James Akka, Adam Elliott, Dave Hearn, Matthew Howell, Luke Pierre, Aein Nasseri, Dumile Sibanda and Ashley Tucker, with Lewis and Sayer joining for the final weeks of the run.
Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, the production is directed by Matt DiCarlo, who most recently helmed The Comedy About Spies in the West End.
The creative team also includes set designer Libby Todd, costume designer Roberto Surace, lighting designer David Howe and sound designer and composer Alexandra Faye Braithwaite.
Produced by Kenny Wax and Stage Presence, Christmas Carol Goes Wrong follows a successful premiere at the Apollo Theatre, where it played to sold-out audiences during its initial run.
