Hoopla has announced the full artist line-up for Hoopla’s 20th Anniversary Improv Festival, alongside an extension of dates running from Friday 10 April to Saturday 18 July 2026.
The festival takes place at the Hoopla Improv Theatre in London Bridge and celebrates the past, present and future of comedy at the UK’s first dedicated improv theatre.
Marking 20 years of the organisation, the programme brings together internationally renowned performers, emerging companies and Hoopla’s own in-house talent.
Featured names include Dylan Emery and Athena Kugblenu, alongside a wide range of shows spanning musical improv, narrative long-form, freestyle rap and experimental comedy.
The festival opens with RH & Friends 20th Anniversary Special on 10 April, reuniting one of Hoopla’s most beloved teams for a fast-paced night of classic improv chaos.
Other highlights in April include Impropera!, Whoop Ass!, Show Up, My Sons, Kerfuffle, Giant Steps and the Comediasians & Friends 20th Anniversary Special.
The programme continues with appearances from performers including Julia Masli, Jonathan Oldfield, Susan Harrison, Jess Carrivick, Ruth Bratt, Lee Simpson, Lauren Shearing and Maria Peters.
Later events include The Festival MEGA Jam!, Grand Theft Impro, Dreamweaver Quartet, LadyProv, Impromptu Shakespeare and a comeback tour from Breaking & Entering.
The summer programme culminates on 18 July with MC Hammersmith, whose improvised freestyle rap comedy closes the anniversary celebrations.
Hoopla director Steve Roe said, “It’s incredibly exciting to see such a strong response to the festival, with audiences and performers coming together to celebrate improv in all its forms. We’re proud to be showcasing an inspiring mix of talent, from internationally renowned performers who have shaped the improv scene, to emerging groups who are making waves and reaching new audiences. Bringing together such a diverse range of voices and styles is what makes this festival so special, and we’re thrilled to share it with audiences over the coming months.”
