HUMBUG, the immersive Christmas party experience that has become a staple of London’s festive season, will return this December with a brand-new home at Greenwich Borough Hall and a newly imagined show for 2026.

Running from 4 to 24 December, the two-hour festive spectacular will be presented by new producers Niche Productions Group, who are promising a bigger, louder and more ambitious edition of the event.

This year’s story sees Santa Claus abandon his seasonal duties after discovering a passion for rock ’n’ roll. Having swapped his sleigh for a place in house band Johnny Whiskey & The Barflies, Santa is more interested in performing and partying than delivering presents.

Audience members are invited to join the festivities, but with a secret mission. Throughout the evening, guests will be enlisted by HUMBUG’s hosts to take part in games, challenges and singalongs designed to restore Santa’s festive spirit and get Christmas back on track.

Alongside live music and audience interaction, the experience culminates in a festive dancefloor finale as Santa takes to the decks for one last celebration before returning to his Christmas duties.

Returning visitors can expect many of the elements that have defined HUMBUG over previous years, including themed cocktails, live music, irreverent adult humour, audience participation and the now-famous shrine to Mariah.

The production brings together creatives and producers whose previous credits include The Crystal Maze, Tokyo Nights, Backyard Cinema, The Traitors: Live Experience and Punchdrunk’s Viola’s Room.

Corey Bennett, Managing Director at Niche Productions Group, said: “HUMBUG has been a hit with London audiences because, quite simply, it’s everything you want a Christmas party to be – fun, silly, a little bit naughty and disgustingly festive.

“We’re thrilled to be taking over HUMBUG this year and putting our own stamp on it. We’re keeping all the bits people know and love but turning everything else up – a bigger live stage show, a brilliant new home in Greenwich and a new story that puts the audience right in the middle of the action. We want this to be the biggest and loudest HUMBUG yet. A proper Christmas night out where you can eat, drink, sing, dance, get involved and be completely ridiculous for a few hours. Christmas is allowed to be a bit silly, and HUMBUG absolutely embraces that.”

Greenwich Borough Hall will be transformed into an oversized festive playground with capacity for up to 600 guests per performance. Food and drink will be provided by Thirty Food Gallery, including festive favourites and themed cocktails such as the returning Bah F*ckin Humbug.

Guests can choose between VIP Cabaret Tables, Beer Hall seating in the heart of the action, or Balcony seating overlooking the event. Group bookings, half-venue hire and full exclusive venue hire are also available.

HUMBUG is strictly for audiences aged 18 and over and runs at Greenwich Borough Hall from 4 to 24 December 2026.
