Following a £10 million revamp the Windmill Theatre has been restored to its former glory. June 2021 sees the venue open its doors once again as The Windmill Soho. This time as a spectacular theatrical dining experience, boasting a 350 capacity and will open daily from 6pm until late. The Windmill will offer a vibrant atmosphere, with impeccable service, providing an unforgettable experience. The iconic external neon lights, a Soho landmark, have been lovingly reinstated. Set across three floors the venue features; The Theatre, which will act as the main restaurant, The Palais De Luxe, a grand upstairs bar and The Royal Box, a sumptuous private room. Beneath the 110-year-old Theatre you will find Henderson’s speakeasy. Named after socialite Mrs Laura Henderson the pioneering proprietor of the 1930s and 40s. Infamous for being the first to show nudity on stage in the UK.
The glamorous interior design nods to The Windmill’s rich history and is lavishly decorated in deep purples, regal blues and adorned with art deco touches. Much like Mrs Henderson’s productions, the design is partial to exotic scenes.
Jodie Harsh sits on the Board of Directors, adding her creative touch and Soho connections to this distinct project. Jodie Harsh DJs across the globe but is a Londoner at heart and has been involved with the nightlife landscape in Soho for over a decade.
Adrian Sauvage, the London born costumier has designed The Windmill Soho’s wardrobe of sleek satins, velvet cloaks and louche smoking jackets. Sauvage’s designs combine sartorial skill with regal elegance and have won a devoted, stellar, clientele of Icons and Royalty.
Jordan Rocca joins The Windmill Soho as Impresario. Playing a key role in creating the food and beverage menus and curating the music.
Elizabeth West & Camilla Bishti are leading the theatrical direction. Supported by visionary Romain Pissenem and his creative production company High Scream (who has most recently delivered projects for David Guetta, Ushuaïa Ibiza & Disney). Together at The Windmill Soho they will push the boundaries of what can be achieved.
A future inspired by the past, The Windmill Soho will be a beacon of London’s nightlife once again, coming back to life with excitement and electricity. Legendary acts such as Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles have performed on the famous stage, setting the bar for new and inspiring acts to follow now. The venue will deliver a premium experience, hosting the biggest names in entertainment and providing a platform for the next generation of rising stars to perform.
The alluring and never-seen-before variety acts will take the stage each night and are exclusive to The Windmill Soho. The dinner shows will include a modern twist on cabaret with spectacular acts hosted by the resident compère. With an award-winning sound system, floor to ceiling lights, show-stopping production, The Windmill Soho, looks set to become the place to go in London Westend. The relaunch of The Windmill Soho will herald the beginning of post Covid London, bringing back the night-life that has been missing for so long!
